Well last week the wife was driving the truck and got a check engine light followed by a "stop safely" message. She pulled off the road that the truck shut off. I read codes P200c, and P200e. A google search later and I figured bad EGT sensor probably. After an hour the truck restarted and I was able to make an appointment with my dealer. I then started reading the complicated emissions section of the warranty and was unable to determine what the warranty of the EGT sensors was. As it turns out they are only covered for the 3/36 period of the warranty (we are 54K). Now I get to pay $312 for a $62 EGT sensor that I should have just changed myself.
Live and learn I guess!!
