Hello guys,
New to the forum and looking for some expertise. I have a 2012 F350 FX4 dually with 111,000 miles. The truck is a hot shot truck so it is hooked to a trailer about 85% of the time.
I hauled about 13,000 behind it this morning, and noticed my brakes failed, which has never happened before. Went mushy and pedal went to the floor. After pumping they came back, only to happen again off and on as I limped it back.
As I was driving back, my truck started acting up. When accelerating from a stop, rpms would bounce and power cut in and out, and it seemed liked the higher the gear, the less problem. Once up to 6th gear, had full power and no issues, unless hitting a decent bump, then the rpms would bounce a little and power would cut out shortly.
The tranny started the 1-2, 2-3 harsh shifts a while back, and I have not replaced the solenoid yet. When in tow haul it seems to take care of it (built up line pressures possibly?)
3-2 harsh shift, not 2-3
My question is do you guys have any idea what the problem is?
Also, Just had a new battery put in 3 days ago as Ford said one tested bad.
Thanks for any help or info, and if you need more details please let me know.
