:icon_rolleyes: In general I love this 2012 6.7 diesel truck but when I went to change the fuel filters (first change) I couldn't believe how Ford could screw up a good design on the engine mounted fuel filter holder. The frame mounted filter change was a piece of cake. I didn't spill a drop of fuel and everything went smoothly. I knew about the potential issues with the "new" design but didn't understand how severe they could be. After popping off the fuel lines, I attempted to rotate the filter counterclockwise as instructed in multiple tutorial videos. It would not budge. I used an oil filter plier to turn it (still very stiff). I worked with it for over two house and could not get it to come up at all. So I twisted it back to the lock position and reconnected the fuel lines and purged/primed the system per the instructions. The dealer will be getting this one for the remaining filter. I am very disappointed as I like to do my own maintenance so I know it's done right. It almost makes you want to scream when you see the videos of how easy it is to change on a 2011 with the 7mm release bolt. Has anyone considered putting a 2011 mount on a 2012+ truck?
Thanks.
Thanks.
