Did my coolant flush/swap a couple months ago and I used Shell Rotella ELC and has the CAT EC-1 rating. It's yellow-green in colour, very alien-looking stuff.
A buddy of mine from work is doing the heads on his excursion, he also is using Shell Rotella ELC with the CAT EC-1 rating. But his coolant is almost burgundy in colour. Looking at the specs on the back, they seem to be the exact same. Did Shell just change the colour of their coolant willy-nilly one year, or is there a functional difference i need to know about?
