I have no throttle response at times again. Same thing awhile ago. Cleaned the contacts and was fine. But now really bad. Barely made it home. So I went to NAPA to buy new. But it didn't look proper, especially the connection. So we looked up a 98 (I have a 97). That one looked proper so I bought it..... I go to install it and the blade from the pedal doesn't line up proper. No work. I take it off the bracket and work it with a screwdriver and it works fine...... So I hold it on the bracket at the angle it likes and it works. But the screws don't line up. Not even close. If you look at attached pic. The one with the two small tabs is the new one. Tabs are right where the blade from the pedal needs to be. So I'm not seeing something or maybe the pedal assembly is shot..... Going to the dealership tomorrow........ Sorry for the length...
