Hey diesel stop, just wanted to start off by thanking you guys. You guys are awesome and a very big help!
I have been having horrible fuel mileage lately. Getting about 11 miles to the gallon. I replaced the injectors about 2 months and was hoping for better mileage. On the valley of the motor, I saw that there was fuel up there so I figured it was the fuel bowl leaking. I rebuilt the fuel bowl and replaced the hoses and still havent seen a difference in mileage. Friday last week, i cleaned out the EBPS and the hardline for it, still nothing. i am guessing it could be a fuel pump problem? i do have one with me but havent installed it yet. hopefully i will get to it on sunday.
Now with the random shut off, after i cleaned the EBPS and cleaned the hard line, i drove it home and everything was perfectly fine going home. i turned the truck on saturday and instantly saw that check engine light was on, really had me confused considering everything was fine the day before. i drove it down my dirt road and it started to spudder and then shut off. i was able to turn the truck back on and it had no check engine light lite. i turned around and headed back to the house, check engine light came on and then it shut off again. i turned it back on and when i pulled into the drive way. i let it idle and looked under the truck and in the engine. i didnt see anything leaking or different. The next day i turned it on, no check engine light was on, drove it down the road. WOT to make sure it was working like normal and it was. parked it and left for a few hours. turned it back on and the problem happened again. could this be the fuel pump cutting out? my only guess. what do you guys think? thanks guys!
