Hi,
New to the forum here. I have had a couple 7.3 Excursions.
The latest one is giving me some fits. The other night the wife drove it, got home, then I went to move it and no start. The following morning, it started on the first try, then I drove it 100 yards and it died! I pushed the beast home.
It is an 02, 7.3 with the following mods:
Edge Juice tuner
Banks Full Exhaust
Banks Transkit
Fabtech 5.5 lift
KN Filter
A bunch of stereo stuff
It has 72000 miles on it.
A friend has an OBDII scanner, and it came back with:
P1211 IPC Not Cntrbl
and
p1249 wastagate fail steady state test
I just normally work on the truck some, but lately super busy. I had a mechanic change the leaking gaskets at the back of the fuel bowl last week. I was not super happy in that I found the old piece and a screw in the valley!!
I have looked at the IPC, no oil on the connector when I pull it off, and it looks to be in pretty good shape.
The one item I notice upon inspection of the fuel bowl was that the fuel heater connector does not make a good connection and has fuel on it. You can not press it in good to make it "snap" in. The fuses also -- I checked.
Any help is appreciated.
Looking for a good powerstroke person in Katy Texas also!

- The batteries are good.
- Tapped on the starter.
- Tried to look at the oil level in the IHOP, but the bolt seems to be seized on there.
- Checked the oil level, added 2 qts. Recently had a 2000 mile road trip last week.
