8v92TA Question

I have an 8v92TA (1990 ) in a Prevost motor coach. My motor block is bad (due to the rod sticking out the side), but everything else is good. I have found some military 8v92 and these military motors are generally cheaper? What is the difference other than HP? Will these motors work in a motor coach? I have rebuilt a few of these engines, but only ones out of coaches, so im not that familiar with the different variations. If I can go with the military version, I will want to detune it......maybe use my injectors?? I need It to be somewhat idiot proof because im not the only driver for the coach.
OR....would I be better off looking for an engine that came out of a coach?
