Steering Box x2

Well I've not long finished changing the ball joint, axle seal and u-joints on the truck , test drove it about 7 miles and the thing dives like a pig on steroids (this is not good) so now I'm going to replace the tie rod ends.
Now this is set up different to your trucks it has two (2) steering boxes, one on either chassis rail.
I believe that your trucks have an idler shaft on the right hand chassis rail, just thought I'd show some of you guy's how these trucks are set up.

1st photo this is the steering box on the left hand chassis rail, the end where the steering shaft would normally go in has been blanked off with a steel plate.

2nd photo is the second steering box on the right hand chassis rail , this is the same as yours but bolts on the opposite side .

So if i need a new steering box at any time i will have to source an aftermarket one rebuilt in an engineering shop or buy genuine gear, because the bolt pattern is opposite to yours.

More to photo's to come
