E4od to 4r100

I have a 97 ford F250 with the 7.3 and the e4od transmission went out and needs to be replaced. i have access to a 1999 E350 van with a 4r100 in it. What needs to be done to switch this out? will the electrical plug work? what about the other two plugs? I heard something about a orfice is this true and if so how hard is this?
