Just bought a "92" Gulfstream motorhome built on an E series Ford van chassis. I reckon it is an E-350 as it has the 7.3 engine with a dually rear end. I'm still trying to interpret the VIN/Ford tag for what gearbox and rear end I have. Axle 82 and Trans E according to that door plate if anyone knows what those are off the top of your head? It also says it is equipped with the Ford RV Prep Package.
I can get Baldwin oil filters here, and both fuel and air filters are not an issue. The biggest problem I'm having so far is that Shell does not sell or market Rotella T here any longer.
Rimula is available and I will contact Shell here again locally today now that I have found the Ford oil spec in the owner's guide supplement.
There is also no indication of the trans fluid or rear diff gear oil specification so I'm here looking for answers from all you sage 7.3 experienced types.
I'm very ken to learn all I can about the 7.3's as it is my plan to sell this one in a year or two when I come home to the states and look for another 7.3 in an F-350 to pull a toybox. I'll be looking for an 00,01, 02, or 03 then if there are any in good nick still around on the used market.
