So my hoses were leaking and decided to replace all of them. All of the hoses were the same except for the the hose that connects the steering gear to the hydroboost. The hose is bent differently and has a different fitting on the Hydroboost end.
Part# is 3C3Z-3A714-BB
According to Ford:
Part Description: 6.0L; Hose - pressure; Pressure line - hydrobooster to gear. To make this line work you need to remove the adapter 3N999 and attach new line directly to hydroboost.
Adaptor 3N999 is a 90 degree elbow that comes off the hydroboost and connected to the old hose with a teflon seal. The other end of the 3N999 adaptor just uses a rubber o-ring. The new hose screws into the hydroboost fine, but the hose pipe is really sloppy as if it's not bottoming out to make a good seal. I confirmed with Ford that this is the correct replacement.
I haven't started the truck up yet, but have a feeling something is wrong or missing. Anyone have any tips?
