2000 f-250 hard to start in the morning. Temp has not been that cold. Maybe low to mid thirties. This is a California truck so has the silver box looking glow plugs control module. It was replaced a couple years ago. The service engine light also is on and the code reads faulty glow plug control module. Here is what has me confused. In order to get it started yesterday morning I jumped the positive posts on what I thought was the Glow plug relay and it started right up. After tracing the wires I discovered it was actually the air intake heater relay that I jumped to get the mother stated. Today the same. Can anyone explain this? From what I have read the air intake heater should have no influence on starting.
