Hi Everyone ...(FINALLY!!)
When I try to start my truck, all I get is a CLICK down around the starter. I haven't pulled the starter yet because I wanted to ask you folks about it.
My batteries are good! I replaced the starter less than a year ago, I think, but I can't find the paperwork or anything to indicate when or from whom I purchased the starter.
You youngster won't have any idea what I'm about to say here, so go ahead and turn your head :). Back in the day, I had to rebuild many solenoids. It was easy! Just take the thing apart and reverse the copper washer which made the contact, and you were off and running again. I haven't looked at or into any solenoid in more than fifty years probably, but the point is.........that's the same sound the starter makes (like it did back then). So...........
1. Does it sound like a solenoid?
2. Do I need to remove the starter to take off the solenoid?
3. Whaddaya think in general?
I'm gonna have a worker of mine who is helping me do a barn addition pull it Monday. I gotta have that sucker running again. Can't go to the flea market to set up without it.

PS - I have been trying for days to get on this forum. The auto system is not working. I thought I had forgotten my password/username and requested it half a dozen times. I even re-registered with a different username and email address............NOTHING!! Somebody needs to get something FIXED!!
