I've read numerous threads on conversions for chevy's and dodges.
The threads usually end up with replies that it is too much transmission, it's too big to fit and have to cut floor, no compressor to run it, or just run something that is easier to put in.
What if it would fit easily and the existing driveline would take it........Like an F750?
I currently have a 2003 F750 with an Eaton 6 speed. It already has an SAE flywheel housing and an air compressor (air brakes, air suspension, air ride cab)
I definately want an overdrive unit or double over and either a 10 speed or 13. Just unsure of which ones I should be looking at. Is there a certain clutch setup I should be looking at over the other (push vs pull)?
My biggest roadblock is getting the right clutch linkage setup with a proper clutch. The truck currently has a hydraulic setup with slave cylinder. What are the options for linkage? Can I make the slave cylinder setup work?
