2008 F250 6.4 diesel, purchased new August 2008, job build 2.
Truck has 59,839 miles (extended warranty expires in 160 miles, factory 100k warranty expires in August). Truck has never been used for excessive towing, but occasionally we towed an 8k boat. A few thousand miles ago we took a 2000 mile hwy trip, unloaded. Truck is used like most suburbanites, occasional HWY trip, run to Lowes, wife may use it to run to the grocery store occasionally. I have a small car I commute to work in, so no regular commuting. No significant problems with truck, average fuel economy is about 16.5, with hwy runs yielding 19-20 on longer trips.
I am concerned about higher than normal aluminum and iron in both oil samples. I just changed oil again tonight (7k on oil ). Will send off in the morning to see. Previous oil changes were all 7-9k. Will drop to 5k oil changes now.
Could I still be looking at break in after 60k miles?
