Hi all...
I have a strange issue, Ive had my truck in and out of the shop for the last month due to a leak that the shop couldnt seem to fix. They finally say they fixed the leak ( they didnt ) and that it was coming from the oil pan. To make the repair, as many of you know, you have to remove the engine.
Presumably they did the engine removal, resealed the pan, and reinstalled the engine.
The problem Im having is that when Im at idle I can hear a LOUD ticking sound almost like an exhaust leak except that it doesnt speed up when RPMs increase. The other issue is that at seemingly random times, Ill let out the clutch pedal and it will sound like theres a fan blade brushing up against sheet metal coming from around the transmission area.
What should I be checking and possibly fixing? I refuse to return the truck to the same shop yet again as theyve more than proven they can not handle the job.
I assuming that since the engine was out of the truck that at maybe there is som sort of misalignment or something?
Any ideas?
