So I had issues with my 2002 powerstroke not starting. Pulling the reservoir plug on the HPOP then cranking resulted in no oil ejected. So I replaced the engine oil pump.
Now I have everything back together. Pulling the reservoir plug then cranking resulted in a nice spurt of oil coming out. But after replacing the plug, she still wouldn't start. I have a pressure gauge hooked to the engine oil line near the fuel filter. It builds very slowly when cranking. The dummy gauge on the dash flips to the on position when it gets to about 20-25 psi.. but it will take several rounds of cranking before it starts going up, and even then it only does it after several (10-20) seconds of cranking.
I'm having issues with autoenginuity so I can't get a good read on the HPOP pressure, so I am not sure if the HPOP gauge I installed is accurate, but it stays low (500-700 psi).
Does it normally take a lot to get seals on a new LPOP set or is there something else I might have missed in putting it all back?
