This just recently developed as of Dec 02 2013 on my birthday of all days too
Started my excursion, auto headlights come on as usual then typically would go out after a few minutes in the morning, but not that day. Nice cold brisk yet sunny morning too. You can here the relay click on and off so I heard it click and the dash lights went off yet when I got to work and parked it against the garage door my headlights were on still and no dash or tail lights. Turn it from auto to on and everything works fine
Shut it off lights go out. Turn it on heads are on nothing else. I just had to replace the back up speaker in November since the reverse light on the dash was on constantly. Is this related to that ?? Could I have a back up sensor bad ?? Or is this a second issue related non related
