My 2000 p/s has been very difficult to start. I am in so. AZ. so temp is not an issue. I have to keep the key on for about twenty sec. before I can even attempt to start it. When it does eventually start,it runs rough and lopes bad.
I have a regulated return fuel system,with the regulator set at 62psi. and when I turn the key on the pressure goes to 62psi the drops to 10psi in about 5 sec. When it does run the pressure stays at 62psi. I just finished doing fuel bowl rebuild,(leaky oil drain).
The glow plugs were replaced less than 6mo. ago. The glow plug light cycles on then off, but I still wait for about another 12 to 15 sec before starting.
I sure hope someone can give me a place to start to look. Filters have been replaced. (Some one suggested removing the plunger in the center of the fuel bowl ???).
