I was rolling down the road and got a loss of power and then engine died. I thought I was out of fuel. I asked my wife to bleed the schrader valve and I cranked she got a few bubbles but all fuel. After that we got it running again after a lot of cranking. Made it to a gas station put in a 1/4 tank and traveled one more mile before it died again. Ran out of juice on the batteries trying to get it started again, the whole time we got all fuel coming out of the schrader valve. Got a tow.
Got my injectors checked all were good but one which the guy said it just needed some atf ran through it. Changed the filter and filled the new one with atf. Got it started again and drove about 4 miles this time when we tried bleeding the schrader we got nothing no bubbles no fuel. Got another tow.
Changed the lift pump. Took the old pump apart to check the diaphragm it looked intact. Started it and let it idle for a good hour and a half. Drove it less than a mile and it died. Tried bleeding the schrader, same as last time nothing at all. I even took out the valve stem to make sure it wasnt blocked. I did get it started again and it ran for an impressive amount of time even though I was getting nothing to come out of the schrader valve, it finally died.
The only thing in the system that I have not changed is the water separator filter which has been changed to a racor with the plastic bowl bottom less than a year ago. I also run on wvo but all these symptoms happened while running on diesel. The wvo dosent go through the racor filter/water separator only diesel. Also I bypassed the fuel tank selector valve a long time ago so that is out of the mix.
