I have a 96 International Ramp Truck with a 7.3 International version of the PowerStroke in it. My question is on the back of the Fuel injector pump (Or what I beleive is the FI pump) there is a shaft that rotates with a sensor around it. If you remove this sensor the truck will not run. It seems to be able to turn about 45* it looks like it would have something to do with timing because the shaft is spinning. My truck is missing some parts that hold it on or hold it in place. So far we have had decent luck. It has only backed off the shaft twice and I was able to push it back on and keep going. The pump is on top and the front of the motor you can only get to this from the drivers side. There are wires going ot a round sensor that rides on the shaft. What is this and what does it do?
