We recently purchased a 2003 6.0l F250.
It had about 82k when we got it. It has about 90k now.
We purchased it from a fairly reputable Ford dealer in Nebraska. They had done oil, tranny and coolent changes before we purchased it. We have another vehicle now that is for normal running around. We use this for hauling horses primarily. Were not talking about a lot. Pull an 18' steel horse trailer, and usually one or two horses. She does that less than an hour each way about once a week. A few times a year she will drive 8 hours each way to a big event.
I know that EGR delete and head studs are recommended...but frankly I dont have the money for that right now. Should I plan on doing those things as soon as possible? Is there anything else that I should do in order to minimize the chance of having issues?
Thanks.
