My fuel pressure is dropping down to 55 psi from 72 psi. when you get on it getting up to speed or passing somebody. It sometimes only goes up to 70 psi. instead on 72psi. Changed fuel filter. Did not help. Truck as 170,000 miles on it. Fuel pump? Fuel pump was outside temp when I got driving for 10 minutes. As soon as you turn the key on it goes right up to 70psi to 72psi. It does drop a little when you start the truck. Goes right back up when let off or are driving on flat road. Acts like fuel filter is plugged and just cant get enough fuel. Last time it happened I changed fuel filters and problem went away. Screen in tank? If it is screen in tank hutch mod from driven diesel is going in. Or do you think it could be injectors? Truck does blow black smoke. In 2 weeks it is going in the shop to get some repairs done and a boost leak test is going to be done to see if it has a boost leak. Blows black smoke on 60econ and 80 econ. Repairs are not related to engine. Tranny cooler (6.0 going in Stock rear springs and air bags) Thanks for your help. Matt
