Disable EGR on the 6.7L Powerstroke?

Hi, does anybody know if is possible to disable the EGR system in the new 6.7 using a tuner? EGR delete us out of the question since I leave in Kaliforniastan!!! Here diesels are subject to full smog inspections just like regular gas vehicles. Now , why do I want to disable the EGR? I believe that in doing so It will help to keep my oil cleaner, help on the MPG department, and could even reduce the regen cycles. Anybody care to comment if my logic is accurate and maybe point out any drawbacks in doing so?
