Hard to believe? After 107K miles it runs smoother and quieter than ever.
I've run a lubricant in the fuel, first 2 stroke oil, then OptiLube Summer Formula (so I could carry enough for a trip to Alaska) and they both quieted the injectors down. But it still sounde like a diesel during acceleration.
My last trip I also added some Diesel Kleen silver to the fuel - what a difference! Not so much at idle, but going down the road and foot to the floor. It is so quiet that we can hold a normal conversation. And jumping into traffic it is more of a sustained whoosh.
It is such a pleasure to drive now that I will continue to use OptiLube Summer (2oz/30gal) and DK (10oz/30gal).
My engine must really like/need the cetane boost.
