Turbo related questions

I took apart my intake system all the way to the turbo and found sand-like material stuck to the inner walls of the pipes and the leading edge blades of the compressor wheel of the turbo has damage from what looks like sand damage.

I've been wanting to replace the boots, and now with that discovery i'll replace the compressor wheel probably with the new wicked wheel.

1) while i'm doing that, what other parts should I replace?

2) am I fooked?...meaning, is there likely significant other damage from the sand that I am not seeing?? (I don't know where it came from, the guy before me had a K+N on it)

The truck/engine runs extremely good...never any issues. Only reason for replacing boots is because at towing weight (15k) I don't think I am getting enough boost and my MPGs suffer (around 8mpg)...plus it is difficult to get up back 68mph without really getting into the egts. With no trailer/towing...my truck does very well at around 17mpg with no issues.

Thanks Jeff!
