Don't know if anyone would possibly have an answer or not, my 05 E350 turbo diesel's fan is coming on a lot. Engine just started, stone cold, comes on. Every stop light, comes on. Will go off, so I'm told the fan clutch is not bad since it will go off but it is driving me crazy and I know it's hurting power and mileage. Now, here's the thing, it only acts this way when the A/C is on. A/C off it does like it should, turn A/C on and within a mile and a half it starts acting like I described above, turn A/C off again and in a minute or so it starts acting right again. Now, this started happening a couple of months ago and has gotten progressively worse over time. About three weeks ago the compressor died in Florida and new stuff was put on there so a lot of the A/C stuff is new and that didn't correct the problem, if anything, it made it worse. Fan WILL stop running with A/C on around 50 like it should. Also, coolant and oil temps are pretty normal when this is happening. Any thoughts?
