81 Eldorado Engine Swap

Hi folks,

I have the unfortunate 5.7L diesel engine in my 81 Eldorado. Head gasket blew on it recently, no shop will work on it. Front wheel drive, BOP bolt pattern, transaxle.

What are some better diesel engines that will fit in this car?

So far I've only looked at the 6.2 Detroit, which a shop told me won't bolt up to the transmission.

Any ideas?
