AO4D behind a 6.9?

I have an '85 E350 cutaway van with a 15' cube box that I'm converting into a camper. The van currently has a C-6. I also have a '92 F-150 that has a good A04D transmission. I mentioned it to one mechanic and he said the overdrive transmission isn't electric and should work. I asked if there were different versions of A04D transmissions such as light duty for the half ton truck and a heavy duty for a one ton? Again, he said he didn't think so.

Could I use this A04D automatic overdrive hooked to the 6.9. No heavy loads. Just camping gear and a motorcycle trailer. I know driveshaft lengths will be a variable.
