So, I have about an hour drive to work every day, and today I took the Excursion. It did great, had some fun with the exhaust :D.... Until about the last mile of my journey.
It started with a sort of shimmy..... I thought maybe a tire was out of balance. Then I started to hear it in the exhaust, almost like an intake boot had ripped, but I didnt have a loss of power.
Within the last 100feet to my shops parking lot, the poor thing had a severe loss of power, and was smoking alittle bit. When I shifted it into reverse to back into my parking spot, It stalled out, so I pushed it into my spot.
I didnt try to restart it, and I dont have AutoEnginuity with me at the moment, so I havent had a chance to run any codes....
My first thought is fuel pump. Fuel filters were changed about 3,500 miles ago. Got about alittle over 1/2tank of fuel.
Im going to have my wife pick me up today after work in the F250, and Ill bring my scanner tmw along with a fuel pressure gauge. Any other thoughts?
