Alright so a month and a half ago I hauled the trailer for 150 miles it was empty I loaded the trailer and the flat bed of the truck. The truck weighs 7700lbs the trailer weighs 3300lbs empty I probably loaded 1200lbs onto the flatbed of the truck and another 4000-5000 into the trailer. Then I drove back the 150 miles on the drive there and back I used O/D but on the way back the transmission went out only had 4th gear nothing else at all....so 2200 bucks later and went a head and replaced the clutch too it was almost gone so good thing. My question is this the mileage difference is not much between driving in 4th or driving in O/D it's about 30 miles to the tank... I know this might sound bad but 30 miles of fuel is not the much when you just spent 2200 on a new tranny :-) but when the trailer is empty am I okay to haul in O/D and when full just haul in 4th? I'm so worried to loose another tranny. Thanks for the help and advise
