Anybody have a Dieselsite coolant filter installed with a upper radiator hose that goes around the Serpentine belt?
I've had the coolant filter for a couple years and today installed the upper radiator hose (Gates) that goes around the Serpentine belt instead of through it. This new upper radiator hose makes very firm contact with the coolant filter right before the hose attaches to the radiator. Firm enough that the hose is just barely pushed out of round and probably has at least 1 sq inch and maybe as much as 2 sq inches of contact with the coolant filter and it's difficult to work your finger in between the hose and the filter. Is this typical when the "around the Serpentine belt" upper radiator hose is used with the coolant filter? Does that kind of firm contact cause any issues?
