I have a 1994 7.3 IDI, bought it couple months back. Replaced the TPS and MILPS. Truck seems to get confused when shifting gears, and has been getting progressively worse. I have an E40D tranny. Took it to a shop and paid to replace PCM. When I got the truck back "fixed", it made it about 10 miles before it went right back to the problem, no change at all.
Mechanic is telling me my RPM gauge has no bearing on my tranny, but forums are saying otherwise. My RPM gauge hasn't worked since I bought the truck. Pretty sure that's the problem.
My issue is ford dealer claims the part is discontinued. Napa doesn't have the tach sensor. Where do I go??
