Ok, here is a fun one for you all.
Last summer I started having this problem...it didn't happen a single time at all over the past winter and now that it's summer again the issue is starting all over.
Every so often I'll be driving and I lose what seems like 50% power. The truck starts running rough and I can barely maintain 50mph. I'm very familiar with the UVC harnesses coming loose and I was almost certain that's what it was until I started digging further. So the problem happens at random times, and if I shut the truck off quick or let it sit, then I can usually start it back up with no problems and drive it again for a while.
Today it happened on the expressway so I got off and unplugged the driver side harness (while it was running rough) and the truck stayed running but began idling even rougher. I plugged the driver side back in and then unplugged the passenger side. The truck idled like absolute crap for about 10 seconds and then died. So that tell me the issue lies within the driver side UVC harness, right? And since the truck didn't shut off immediately I'm guessing some of the injectors on that side were firing but not all.
I got home after work and hooked up AE. Got the beloved P1316 IDM code, so I did an injector buzz test and it pulled up two additional codes...
P1293 Injector High Side Open - Bank 1
P1294 Injector High Side Open - Bank 2
I assume bank 1 refers to injector 1 (passenger side) and bank 2 is injector 2 (drivers side).
So my confusion now stems from wondering why I have codes for both sides. Any thoughts?
