Hello, I am new to this forum and need some advice on a modification I was thinking of making to my 2008 F350 6.4L.
My truck is registered in Rhode Island so a DPF/CAT delete pipe is not an option being that it wont pass emissions. As of now I have put a 4" CAT back system from Flow Master. From the CAT it goes from 4" to a small Muffler to split into 2, 4" pipes out either side behind the rear wheels. Ending with 5" tips.
With this system there is ZERO noticeable difference between the stock set up and this new set up.
My plan is to put a electric cutout valve before the CAT giving me a huge noise difference. The plan is to put a Y pipe that at the flip of a switch will dump the exhaust out and around the CAT and back into the Flow Master set up. So that I can switch between stock and this option in order to pass emissions.
I am looking for advice as to whether this set up will trip sensors when the cutout is engaged. And whether this is even a good idea. Thank you.
