Alright guys, Ive been trolling through all of the forums/threads and cant seem to find a written solution. (I may have missed something, There are hundreds.)
1) My #3 injector is showing Low circuit voltage.
a) was low on the cylinder contribution test. Non-existant actually. (We killed the cylinder with the scan tool and it did not change the idle)
b) Showed an intermittent signal on the buzz test.
2) My number 5 injector wiring harness was SHOT, Bare wires were touching each other. (But did not kick any codes for #5) Didnt even show in a cylinder contribution or buzz test) Side note; Be sure to change leaking heater control vales, Antifreeze eats the coating off wires......
3) Truck is missing at all RPM's. Horrible on the freeway in OD, Will shake your teeth out.
4) FICM Shows 48 volts key on, 49 volts running. (At the FICM, Not on a scanner)
5) When I start the truck it starts as good as it did the first day I got it. Very quickly without any hesitation... This is what really puzzles me... When it starts, The RPMS climb up to about 1200 and drop back down to the 800(ish) mark, The truck doesnt start to miss until it falls down to idle. The it misses at all RPMS after.
6)For the last several months the truck would miss occasionally but then clean right up, I assumed it was a sticking spool valve. Now its a dead cylinder.
7) Truck has approx 180k on it....
Let me know what you guys think, I hate throwing money at problems without performing necissary tests..
