Just preparing for the possibility that I have a bad injector.
I was told by Ed (ficmrepair.com) that it was approximately 2.5 hr job to replace an injector. Local shop quoted $800, so either Ed is optimistic or I'm subsidizing a new boat for the mechanic.
Was wondering what an average DIY replacement would take. I'm capable, but no master mechanic. I've done ICP sensor (the hard one), ball-joints, shaft seals, and a few other jobs, this would be the first time under the valve covers.
I've already watch some Youtube videos and I'm sure I can handle the job, just wondering what the experience is for average time.
Also, any advice on things to do while I'm there? EGR delete? other stuff?
thanks.
Brian
