I have a '96 7.3 powerstroke that has shut down and won't restart.
About a month ago, it would occasionally just shut down, usually at idle.
As time passed, it would shut down more frequently, then it would shut down while moving. But it would always restart. A couple times I would shut it down and go to move it an hour later and it wouldn't start. A few days ago, it shut down on the highway and wouldn't restart. It still won't start. I put a kit in the high pressure pump & replaced the fuel pump and nothing. I gave it a wee bit of ether today. It started right away, but shut down. Since it started out as an intermittent problem, I'm sorta thinking I may have an electrical issue.
Any ideas will greatly be appreciated
