Concern: noticed after using tow haul/exhaust breaking on steep hill descent engine fan now engages and will not disengage...sounds like a C130 "herky bird' in full reverse thrust on a short landing and "indicated" fuel mileage seems to drop about 1 mpg. The fan will stay engaged regardless of whether engine is shut off overnight, temps are 60 degrees or 96 degrees outside, towing or not towing, then suddenly will just disengage and sound like normal. Exhaust brake works as normal, the engine fan is triggered when exhaust brake is used on long downhill sections when rpms reach about 2500, max has been about 3300 rpm. Fan has never before stayed engaged when towing other than when using exhaust brake or towing in high temps and then it would disengage as normal. Otherwise everything ok, temps never show hot, oil temp 203 -210, trans temp around 193/197, no coolant loss, radiator clean, no codes/wrench/warnings displayed. 2011 early Job 1, no mods, no previous problems other than exhaust bp sensor fixed under warranty
