I have a 2001 F350 2wd automatic (crew cab, long bed) 7.3L diesel- my dream truck! Lately I have had a massive loss of power and its shifting all over the place- one time it drives great, the next times a mess. If you get it to kick into OD it runs smooth as day.
A little history on my truck- rebuilt tranny at 180,000 miles, now has 227,000. Had turbo replaced less then 5000 miles ago. Changed out fuel and air filter- need to change oil. Needs a new glow plug relay...
Had it put on a computer- it shot A LOT of codes- here they are:
PO731, PO732, PO733 which are gear 1,2,3, gear ratio incorrect
PO782 is 2nd-3rd shift error
P1247, P1248 Turbo Boost Pressure low/ not detected
P1316 Injector Drive Module where we further found P1271, P1273, P1274, and P1275 cylinder 1,3,4,5 high/ low open
Buzz test showed 1&5 not firing correct
So. Is there any chance my tranny is not gone? Sensor or something? I don't have a lot to spend on it so if tranny is gone my trucks gotta go :( looking for input.
