iv always liked diesels, especially growing up on the farm.
my dad has a diesel hilux
my town car, a suzuki mighty boy, is almost dead. it has a petrol engine and 2 speed auto. the engine is falling apart.
i want to replace it with a diesel.
getting the 800cc diesel from a smart fortwo is going to be ultra expensive but i have found a diesel engine that is 1100cc that is about the same size as the engine already in the might boy.
heres the clincher however...
this diesel makes 64nm of torque at about 2200 rpm and 16kw (21hp) at 3600rpm.
the engine thats in it now makes 29kw (38) at about 5500 rpm and 59nm of torque
so if i were to stick this diesel engine in with more torque and less kw/hp what would the result be? will it get up to a certain speed and not go any faster?
