I have 213K miles on my 7.3 and it has always started right up, as long my batteries were in good shape. The other day it did not start on the first try. Had to stop cranking and then try again. It did the same thing two more times after driving a short distance. After 100 freeway miles on fresh fuel, it cleared up. Just now tried starting the engine after the truck sat all night, and no problem. But my experience is that problems that occur once usually occur again. What could have caused the hard starting? Is there anything I should check?
