i have a 99 f350 with the 7.3. its got around 200k. I was pissed off about 6 months ago and dogging the piss out of it. well it was a very bad idea. I was on a dirt road going sideways with the pedal to the floor and the truck went to shift from 1st to 2nd and a loud pop/ clunk and then nothing. I had the truck pulled home. figured it was the trans because the truck wouldn't move in park thefore I figured the t case and rear end good. ripped the trans apart but found nothing out crazy broke inside just a couple completely fried fiction plates. so I figured that the converter to a crap. bought a extra low stall triple disk. comepletely went through the trans and replaced all seals bearing steels and frictions. went through the valve body found nothing wrong in there just a lil sticking. cleaned it and I think the sticky part is good now. but I put the rebuilt trans back in with the new converter and found that the truck still wont go into any gear. I no that the tag says that the trans is a reman. I had a friend that is attending wyotech test the shift soelnoids and apparently those are good. I hooked a pressure gauge to the case and at idle the pressure is 55 or 60 psi in netraul and around 80 or 85 in reverse. according to the atsg manuel I have that's within spec. but it still doesn't move. if I unhook the shift solenoids the pressure goes way up. into the 100s in park at idle. could A FAULTY ecm be the cause? what else could be causing my problem? I really need my truck running again its been way to long since it ran. any input will help. thank you my name is tyler by the way....
