I have 1992 F250 with the parking brake cable broken between the pedal and where it enters the floorboard. I have a replacement cable and have removed the pedal assembly from the cab. The cable has a steel bar on the end that wedges in cable track hook and also in a hole on the opposite side. I cannot see how to get the the rod lifted from out the hole far enough to slide the cable out of the hook section and free from the cable track.
I have looked for pins or bolts that might allow for taking the assembly apart but I can't see anything to remove.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
