No truck 3 weeks!

OK from the beginning....'94 F250 Turbo 4x4. Going to work one morning truck would lag out and try to die. Downshift engine starts back up and got me in the driveway where it died the death from which it would not return. Changed fuel filter and reprimed. Engine started and ran top rpm for 30 sec then died. Dealer said high pressure fuel pump in both tanks.....NOT! Replaced cam pump after dropping a tank and cussing dealer proficiently. Now truck starts and runs like a scalded dog. That is a scalded dog that doesn't die....max rpm til we pulled the fuel line and just let it starve out. Any ideas? Pulled the dash and checked fuel tank switch, pulled fuel tank swap valve, and was told it might be the cam position switch? Bought a new one but haven't installed yet (found two old ones in glovebox so obviously that's been a problem before)
