Questionable diagnosis

Hi,
Truck - 2002 F350 7.3 auto 4X4 around 275,000 km
Shop - independent small shop has done my repairs for 6-7 years on mixed gas/diesel fleet of 8/9 trucks, 3 of them currently Powerstrokes.
Initial problem - One of my foremen drove the truck for maybe 3 days before finally reporting coolant loss. When I checked I found milky engine oil and had truck towed to shop first analysis at shop was a possible oil cooler problem and should change cooler to see if it was that - shop reasoning was that this was not necessarily but not unlikely problem and cheapest so why not try. I agreed but was not problem. Problem then diagnosed as perforated timing cover allowing oil/coolant to mix. Engine pulled and cover replaced - now fun begins. First trip to bush to work results in no run condition, late night rescue by #2 foreman and towed back to shop. HPOP reservoir draining down - shop says "resealed" and should be good. Added anti-foam to fresh oil change. NOT GOOD. Must keep wrench and funnel in truck and instuct any drivers on how to refill HPOP reservoir. Next diagnosis - "oil draining down through worn LPOP - replace - no joy. Truck towed to shop for new diagnosis - needs 8 injectors, HPOP reservoir draining through injectors ruined by initial coolant contamination. I refuse to authorize and bring truck home where it now sits but spring work season imminent.
This shop has not been perfect through the years but who is. However lately (2 yrs) the comebacks seem to be increasing and the above episode has been very expensive and reduced my trust in their competence.
Biggest question to this list is does the ruined injector diagnosis seem reasonable? any alternate scenarios?
Thanks for any thoughts you may offer.
