Dealer Disc Pad Recommendation

At 70,000 I had the F250 in for a brake flush and the dealer's inspection showed "red" (immediate) and "yellow" (soon) replacement of pads. I had the work done yesterday and had them leave the pads for me to see after the work is done. All 8 pads have worn equally but the worst pad had better than 6/32 and the remaining 7 were 8/32. Now I guess 70,000 isn't so bad on mileage but how much "meat" did I throw away on the replacement?

Ford dealers of are jealous of the service surveys and if this was way out of line I'll at least try and get some financial compensation if you'all feel the replacement was unwise.
