Just gotta ask some advice from you guys (& gals) to get some insight. Ran into a guy who blew the red light, going only 25 mph but T-boned him, no air bags deployed but my front was end messed up. First estimate from adjustor was maybe $7000 to repair and I was a happy boy so had it towed to body shop. Upon removal of the bumper, grill, fenders, radiator etc. and measured on frame machine, TADA... frame is 10mm off and sorry, totaled. I have a bunch of aftermarket stuff installed and do not want to lose it but getting no credit in the value. I got a decent payoff of $14,000 with only 78,000 miles on it I could walk away but lose all the lights, tool box and other stuff. They did offer me I could buy it back for salvage of just under $3000. I could take a few days to remove what I felt I could put on the next rig and then see about a CraigsList ad to sell it to someone who'd want to part it out. Probably cost $150 to get it towed to my house where I have plenty of room and I could take few weeks. SO MY QUESTION IS.... Do you think that I could get $2500 for what is left. V10 motor is in great shape, 4.30 LS, most components on the engine are fine except radiator. The bed is fine, cab is nice, interior Lariat package is perfect with heated grey leather seats. Am I wasting my time even thinking about it or should I attempt to try and recoup some of my losses. Gonna be hard without the truck that has treated me so well . Time to move on but could use some good advice. Anyone out there ??????
Thanks in advance !!
