my [BOUGHT NEW BY ME] f 250 has always been maintained by me personally... its first waterpump died at 225K no coolant leaks or issues ever..prior i changed coolant every few years and added the sauce as always...when i replaced the water pump.. i drained the block pretty good so when i refilled it i used HONDA LONG LIFE type 2 anti freeze [ BLUE] i never checked the coolant with the strips since [5 yrs ago now but i don't drive as much]....the jug says NON SILICON/BORATE...and DE IONIZED WATER..meets ASTM D 3306 4340.. i have been a HONDA master tech for 25 yrs..when they started using this coolant i never saw any coolant related issues EVER!....so i figured its prob ok... i see so many opinions online about early 7.3 MUST USE GREEN COOLANT w sauce... the only thing i had go wrong on mine was my little block heater element died and cracked apart inside...[ i sue it all the time i seattle] any opinions on the HONDA COOLANT HERE? thanks dan
